Junior amateur golf: Jolly, Wilcox share 1st-round lead

Justin Jolly and Bret Wilcox shared the lead going into this
morning's final round of the Northern Kentucky Junior Amateur at
Highland Country Club.
Both golfers shot 1-over 71s in the opening round of the 36-hole
tournament on Monday to take a three- stroke lead in the 17-18 age
group standings.
Their closest challenger is Jonathan Ehlen, whose 72 put him on
top in the 13-14 age group.
Defending champion Ross Kreutzjans, who shot an even-par 140 at
Hickory Sticks last year, carded an 80 in the opening round that put
him 10th overall.
In the girls' division, Emily Culbertson shot an 83 in the
opening round to take a commanding lead over the other four players
in the field.
