Kohls repeats with 4-over 146

Clinton Kohls shot a 3-over 74 in Wednesday's final round at A.J. Jolly to secure his second straight Northern Kentucky Junior Amateur championship in the age 16-18 division.

Kohls finished 4-over for the tournament with a two-day total of 146, two strokes ahead of runner-up Alex Volpenhein.

As a junior at Brossart this fall, Kohls was voted the Northern Kentucky high school golfer of the year by local coaches.

Jacob Bowman held on to his one-stroke lead through the second round to win the 14-15 age group. Jeremy Martin and Janson Cahill finished one stroke behind Bowman in a tie for second place.

Andrew Desmarais won the 12-13 division by five strokes, and Phoenix Ramsey also earned a title in the 11-and-under division by a five-stroke margin.

Alicia Lawrence shot the best score for the second straight day to finish seven strokes ahead of girls' division runner-up Sarah Stamper.
